High School Senior Project Mentorship Group Cleanup @ Indian Rock Berkeley

CRAGS is mentoring some local high school seniors.

For their senior project these motivated climbers want to help give back to the climbing areas they enjoy and are organizing a series of three cleanup days.

We’ll be starting with an event at Indian Rock in Berkeley.

These students are organizing these events under the supervision of CRAGS and with the gracious cooperation of our partners at the Bay Area Climbers Coalition and the various land management agencies.

Volunteers are being organized by the student leaders and they are recruiting from their community of competition climbers and classmates. If you see us out on these days, say hi and give them a little kudos for stepping up at a young age to pitch in and help out.

Please wear closed toed shoes, long pants and bring gloves and safety glasses if you have them. CRAGS will supply additional gloves, glasses, garbage bags and trash grabbers.

Please bring food, water, clothing layers and sun protection.

As always all volunteers should sign waivers at this link. All minors under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian signature on their waiver.

All minors under 16 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Some parent or guardian chaperones will be expected to attend as well.
