Join CRAGS and the Access Fund Conservation Team for the 2023 trail work season at Lover’s Leap. We have volunteer opportunities available and need your help.
As part of our ongoing multi-year project to stabilize and improve the trail infrastructure at the three principal climbing areas in the Highway 50 corridor – Sugarloaf, Phantom Spires and Lover’s Leap – CRAGS is working with the Access Fund over five weeks this summer at Lover’s Leap, starting at the base of Lower Buttress, completing work on the landing platforms and staircases below Surrealistic Pillar and surrounding climbs.
We are looking for volunteers to join us on FIVE consecutive Saturdays:
Saturday 07/15 + TCC
Saturday 07/22 + BACC
Saturday 07/29 + TCC
Saturday 08/05 + BACC
Saturday 08/12 + End of Season Party

Meet at 9am at Strawberry Station General Store on Highway 50 (see map link)
Please bring closed toe shoes, work clothes, food and water
Trail work involves heavy lifting, hard manual labor and dirt/dust.
Gloves and safety glasses are available but please bring gloves, masks and safety glasses if you have your own.
Helmets are welcome and recommended.
Alternate jobs not requiring heavy lifting are available for other volunteers.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian

Reserved campsite available for volunteers on Friday/Saturday night. Space limited. First come, first served. Subject to change.
